Turkey's Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank said on Wednesday that the country's first domestically developed concrete-piercing missile had been successfully tested, EDNews.net reports citing Ahval News.
"Live ammunition with successive piercing technology was tested for the first time in Turkey," Varank tweeted.
The minister said it is now possible to test ammunition projects in a short time with low costs thanks to the country’s testing infrastructure, called HABRAS.
The statement did not specify when the ammunition will be approved to join the Turkish military's arsenal.
