Prime Minister Askar Mamin at the government meeting today announced about extension of strict quarantine restrictions until August 2 in connection with COVID-19 situation, EDNews.net reports citing AKIpress.
"Following recommendation of the Ministry of Health for the purpose of stabilization of epidemiological situation we decided to extend restrictions in the country for another 2 weeks - from July 20 to August 2," Mamin said.
President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev said about extension of the quarantine restrictions for 2 weeks yesterday.
1,856 more COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Kazakhstan today, bringing the total number to 61,755 cases. 396 patients died.
