The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should not get out of the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to the Eurasia Diary, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said this in an interview with Russian broadcast Agency - Perviy Kanal TV, which aired on Vremya Pokajet program.
"The conflict should not get out of the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan," he said.
At the same time, Aliyev stressed that the conflict did not even reach the territory of Armenia. "Despite the shelling of Azerbaijani cities from the territory of Armenia, we do not strike at the territory of Armenia, we do not cross into the territory of Armenia, although we have all the opportunities for this," he said.
İ. Aliyev added that Azerbaijan intends to return to the negotiating table after the end of the military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
