"We buy military equipment from many countries. I would like to say you that this is Russia that supply us with most military equipment, not Turkey and Israel. However, unlike Armenia, we pay for the weapons being bought from Russia.
Eurasia Diary reports that the statement came from President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in an interview with French newspaper Figaro.
The head of state said that Armenia receives weapons from Russia free of charge: “We also buy weapons from Iran, Ukraine and Belarus. Of course, today we have the opportunity to buy modern weapons that will help our army to restore its territorial integrity. Our territorial integrity is being restored by us. Of course, any country in our region buys weapons. Not all countries in the world can provide themselves with 100 percent military equipment. So there is nothing strange here. Of course, we pay for weapons, we buy good weapons, and they help us on the spot. However, the territories are not liberated by drones. The territories are being liberated by soldiers performing their duties there.
