According to the information, the details of the upcoming meeting of the Presidents of Turkey and the United States on the sidelines of the climate summit in Glasgow were touched upon.
Kalin and Sullivan stressed the strategic importance of Turkish-American ties. The parties agreed that all issues on the agenda should be discussed within the framework of the principles of mutual respect and common interests. The importance of observing international agreements was emphasised.
One of the topics of the talks was joint steps to ensure peace, stability and development in the Caucasus against the background of the liberation of Karabakh from the Armenian occupation.
Kalin noted that Ankara will continue to resolutely fight against terrorist organisations, including PYD/YPG/PKK and ISIS, that threaten the security of Turkey's border and the territorial integrity of Syria.
