EU leaders go to China

World A- A A+
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Union (EU) Council President Charles Michel may visit China in the first half of 2023.

Ednews.net reports that China's ambassador to the European Union, Fu Szun, said this in a statement to "Global Times".

According to his words, preparations are underway for the visit of two high-level EU officials:

"Beijing does not fully agree with some positions of the EU on the issue of Ukraine, but this issue should not affect the development of relations between China and Europe. The EU should avoid being too emotional on the issue of Ukraine. People may have desires, but they have to face the truth. Otherwise, this war will be prolonged."
