Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday that Moscow wants the conflict in Ukraine to end "as soon as possible."
Ednews reports citing Jerusalem Post that Lavrov made the remarks amid a visit to Brazil where he met with the country's Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira (pictured left). Vieira noted he and Lavrov discussed the situation in Ukraine and stressed that Brazil wants to form a group of countries that would focus on negotiating a ceasefire in Ukraine.
During his trip to Latin America, Lavrov is also set to visit Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
