Today, the 2nd international conference on "Mine Action - The Path to Reaching the Sustainable Development Goals" has started its work in Baku.
EDnews informs that the conference is organized jointly by the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) and the United Nations (UN).
The conference is attended by local as well as foreign guests. Adriana Aristizabal, CEO of the founder of IVOICE, and former Council of Colombia and New York City spoke about the importance of such a conference as one of the conference participants:
"It is an important event about the sustainability development goals and which is the path to prosperity and abundance for our communities."
She added that we need to organize a kind of movement global movement where the people can participate actively in a way to support the return of the farmers to retake the lands:
"We need more programs like Roots of Peace, for example, to help the farmers how to go back to their lands, how to protect the plants and be prosperous."
