"The European Union (EU) wants to expand cooperation with Central Asia," said the President of the European Council Charles Michel at the press conference held after the second European Union-Central Asia summit in Kyrgyzstan, Ednews reports.

"I came to this region with a clear message: the EU is committed to your region and we want to deepen our cooperation. Today's meeting is proof of this desire.

The EU is a reliable and predictable partner of the Central Asian region," said Charles Michel.
He stressed that the EU, member countries and financial institutions work as a team with this region and implement projects.

The President of the European Council noted that there is a potential to move the bilateral cooperation between the regions to a new stage.

"Central Asia can rely on the EU as a strong and reliable partner for the security of our regions and the well-being of our people," Charles Michel said.
