A 5.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded on the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk of the Kuril Islands.
Ednews reports that the Sakhalin branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences released information about this.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located in the Sea of Okhotsk, 256 km north of the village of Reydovo on Iturup Island, and the source of the tremors was located in the Sea of Okhotsk.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 437 kilometres.
