It’s too soon to talk about Kazakhstan having full-fledged membership to BRICS, Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Aybek Smadiyarov said, Ednews reports.
According to Smadiyarov, Astana is interested in cooperation with BRICS member countries: “Kazakhstan is interested in cooperation with BRICS member countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, Southern Africa), but talking about granting Kazakhstan with full-fledged member status is still early”.
He also noted that two members of the organization – Russia and China are neighbors and closest political, trade, and economic partners of Kazakstan. Strategic partnership relations was established between Kazakhstan and India.
