Saudi Arabia won the bid to host the World Expo 2030 in Riyadh, the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) announced on Tuesday.
In the 173rd General Assembly of the BIE Member States, the kingdom emerged victorious in the first round, securing 119 votes. South Korea came in second with 29 votes, while Italy received 17 votes Ednews.
