Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused on Tuesday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of "jeopardizing the region's future" for his own political purposes, Ednews reports via Huriyyet.
Speaking at the Gulf Cooperation Council summit in Doha, Qatar, Erdogan reiterated that Israel is committing "war crimes and crimes against humanity" in Gaza, stressing that those crimes must be sanctioned.
Furthermore, the Turkish head of state claimed that his country aims to implement a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, expressing his gratitude to Qatar for the efforts it made to facilitate a humanitarian pause.
