Palestinian armed factions Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Mujahideen movement condemned on Wednesday the recent explosions in the city of Kerman, Iran, during a commemorative event marking the fourth anniversary of the assassination of Iranian Army General Qasem Soleimani. The groups held Israel responsible for these acts.
"We affirm that the fingerprints of the zionist enemy [Israel], supported by the global head of evil, America, are evident in this crime. This underscores the necessity of aligning our ranks and uniting our nation in the face of the enemy that targets our lands in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Syria, Yemen, and elsewhere," the joint statement reads.
According to the Iranian Tasnim news agency, the number of fatalities resulting from the two explosions near Soleimani's burial site has increased to 103, with 170 individuals sustaining injuries.
