The major fire that broke out on Thursday night in a residential building in north-west Moscow has been "located", announced the Russian authorities, who have carried out around 400 evacuations. Ednews reports the following referring to Le Figaro.
At this stage, the authorities have not mentioned any potential causes of the fire and say they have no "information" on any possible casualties. The fire affected a building near the "Aéroport" metro station in the north-west of the city, according to the municipal services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. "The fire has been located", this source said in the middle of the night, without giving any further details.
Around twenty fire engines and several police cars were also on the scene. For its part, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations indicated on Telegram at the time that four thousand square metres were on fire, and "more than 130 specialists" had been dispatched to the site, along with "two Ka-32 helicopters" which "dropped 15 tonnes of water".
