Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in Brasilia in order to boost bilateral cooperation between the two countries and discuss the current geopolitical issues, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
Brazilian head of state reiterated that the Ukrainian conflict should be resolved considering the security concerns of both parties and insisted that unilateral proposals for the solution of the conflict are useless.
Regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Lavrov and Lula urged the United Nations Security Council to call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to put more effort into eliminating the obstacles to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
