The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrel, said that the possibility of a high-intensity war in the region has ceased to be a "fantasy," Ednews informs, citing Pravda.
The corresponding statement was made during a speech at a conference in Brussels.
The possibility of a high-intensity war in Europe is "no longer a fantasy," so defense and military policy should become the "heart of European politics," the European diplomat is sure.
"Defense and the availability of military capabilities should be the heart of European politics, perhaps one of the cornerstones of the European project," Borrel said.
