Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Monday that the European Parliament election results demonstrate the need for center-right focus, more "pragmatic" and "less ideological" policies in the bloc.
During an interview with Italian radio station RTL 102.5, the prime minister emphasized the significance of Marine Le Pen's performance in the elections in France, describing her path as "interesting." Furthermore, the 47-year-old politician underscored that it was premature to make projections regarding the potential for a second term for EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Meloni's far-right party, Brothers of Italy, won the European elections in Italy, securing 28% of the votes.
