The European Commission has refused to comment on the detention of Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov in France.
Ednews informs via TASS that European Commission's press service said this is a national investigation, and they do not intend to comment on it.
Inquiries should be directed to the French authorities, it said.
Pavel Durov, who holds French citizenship, was previously detained at Paris' Le Bourget Airport. French media reported that Durov was on the country's wanted list, with law enforcement authorities believing he was involved in several crimes, including Telegram's refusal to cooperate with the country's authorities.
