Trends in Islamophobia have especially intensified over the past 100 years, former ambassador and founder of the Peace for All Foundation Ebrahim Rasool (South Africa) said at a plenary session at the international conference themed “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024” held in Baku.
"Over the last century, we have seen an increase in phenomena such as racism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia. And it is worth noting that these phenomena have an inextricable connection. If you fight one of them, you can overcome the other," he said.
Ebrahim Rasool also thanked Azerbaijan and the country's government for organizing such an important event.
