Palestinian officials will not attend next week's US conference hosted by Poland, chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said on Friday after a US official said they had been invited, Reuters reported.
'Regarding statements that we have been invited, we can say that only today there was some contact from the Polish side,' Erekat said on Twitter.
'Our position remains clear: We are not going to attend this conference and reiterate that we have not mandated anyone to talk on behalf of Palestine.'
Earlier, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said that Palestine will not participate in the Warsaw anti-Iran meeting.
Talking to RIA Novosti, he added that Palestine will never attend a conference to be held by the US as well as the other conferences which are not based on the international resolutions.
It will never allow anybody to take part in the event on behalf of Palestine, he said.
The meeting will be held in Warsaw in line with the US efforts to promote Iranophobia policy.
