Uzbek historian and publicist Shuhrat Barlas gave exclusive coverage to Eurasia Diary.
’’His daughter can come to power after Nazarbaev’’
S. Barlas explained the political changes in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. He noted that "Nazarbayev's resignation was expected. He served for many years not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the whole Turkic world, and became known as the elder brother of the Turkish elite. However, the problems that Nazarbaev faced in the last years and the progress of his age have created such an idea that the time has come to resign. I think that Nazarbayev has created a new political tradition with this resignation and at least did not want to move out of the world as president of other regional states. " S. Barlas also said that after Nazarbayev, it would be hard to tell who will pass it, but his daughter lady Dariga as parliament speaker, I believe, will be participating in the presidential election to be held in 2020. Also changing the name of the capital to Nur-sultan in Nazarbayev's health is at least incompatible with political ethics.
In Kazakhstan, along with Kazakhstan, there are also significant changes in both political and other areas. After the coming to power in Uzbekistan, Shovkat Mirzaev began a serious fight against the former bureaucratic apparatus and corruption. Hundreds of corrupt officials and even the daughter of former President Islam Karimov have been arrested. Their general, minister, high-ranking officials working in power structures, government officials, and so on. was arrested. In other words, Uzbekistan cleared its intestines from bribery officers. About 30,000 were subjected to political repression and the blacklisted political activist was removed from the blacklist. Hundreds of journalists, academics and historians convicted for expressing their free and independent views for years, have been released. It is obvious that this type of change will take place in all the states of the region, and that is expected S. Barlas said.
"Uzbekistan will become Central Asia's leading state"
According to Barlas, Uzbekistan is a country with a great history, located on the transit routes, in the centrer of Central Asia. With 34 million citizens, this country is not a member of any military organization and balanced policy. Uzbekistan cooperates with both NATO and CSTO simultaneously in various areas. Especially after Shovkat Mirzaev's coming to power, Uzbekistan will gradually become Central Asia's leading state.
"There is no Armenian embassy in Uzbekistan"
Relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are at a high level. Uzbekistan supports the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, which is the right case for Azerbaijan, in favor of Azerbaijan. It is no coincidence that there are no Armenian embassies in Uzbekistan.
Uzbeks translated Nizami's works for the first time
The Uzbek people and the people of Azerbaijan are two peoples who have very ancient traditions of the same origin, who speak the same language, have the same values and believe in the same religion. There are many common points in our culture. We even consider Nizami, Fizuli and Nasimi poets of the Uzbek people as well, and this is born from birth. For the first time in history, it was also an Uzbek who translated Nizami's poem "Khosrov and Shirin". This person was famous as Kutub Kharazm (1341).
’’A bigger blessing than the sword on the Turan, only culture, culture and culture’’
"The fact that one of the Turkish values is one of today's greatest necessities," said S. Barlas. According to Barlas, Hussein Javid, the main route leading to this union, Hussein Cavid also notes in his famous Iblis: ’’A bigger blessing than the sword on the Turan, only culture, culture and culture’’.The unity of the Turkic peoples can only be accomplished through the consolidation of cultural nationalism and cultural ties. The biggest obstacle to the unification of Turkic peoples is religion discrimination and pro-democracy.
’’Someone was afraid to say I was a Turk"
According to Barlas, one of the Uzbeks was afraid to say Turkish. The majority of Turks and Turanists were in prison. There was serious pressure against the Turkic ideology. Famous writer Mohammad Ali Mahmudov was arrested for writing the book ’’ Gray Bore’’. But even on state television today, historians or poets from the Turkic speaking countries are able to express themselves freely.
"The biggest ideological illness in Turkestan is barbarity"
"The biggest ideological illness in the Turkestan region and the post-soviet space is general barbarity’’. Barbarity is a very serious illness, and it is impossible to cure it. This kind of people can be seen in every part of society. Such people do not have a personal opinion, they can not accept people who are not like them, consider the principles of totalitarianism as ideal, are radically conservative, and the rise of national syurons in society is the greatest misfortune for these people. I think that when this type of barbarity is cleared of our society, we will become more developed countries.
"Nasiba Zeynalova is the most loved Azerbaijani actress of Uzbeks"
S. Barlas also noted that "Uzbekistan is still watching" Qaynana "," Ahmet haradadır " and other Azerbaijani films. Nasiba Zeynalova is the most loved Uzbek actress in Uzbekistan. Azerbaijani songwriter and other songs are the language. The poems of Azerbaijani poets are very popular here. All this proves the close relationship between the two peoples."
