On April 5, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels. What is the main purpose and scope of the meeting? Why is the West so interested in holding such a meeting with Armenia?

In his statement to Ednews, political scientist Samir Humbatov said that Western countries protect Armenia from Russia:

"Antony Blinken, Nikol Pashinyan, and Ursula von Leyen will discuss high cooperation in the field of military defense at the meeting to be held on April 5. In addition, a tripartite pact is expected to be signed in the field of economy. The main goal of the meeting is to assist Armenia in the economic and humanitarian fields.

I believe that Western Armenia is trying not to aggravate its economy after the post-Russian era. However, the USA and the EU are seriously arming Armenia in the name of self-defense. This is a threat to both regional and global peace. Relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia are moving towards the process of peace. Western countries should think about this issue. Unfortunately, they do not think that the military development of Western Armenia will negatively affect peace. The Armenian government changes its policy as soon as it sees a glimmer of light." 

The political scientist emphasizes that the implementation of this envisaged agreement may prevent Armenia from the path to peace in the region and lead to a different policy:
"It is a clear issue that other countries of the region, for example, Iran and Russia, are dissatisfied with the agreement. Russia thinks that this will bring tension to the region.
