The Ashihara Karate World Championship held in the Kazakh city of Aktau finished. Azerbaijan has been represented with 11 athletes in the World Championship held on November 8-10.
The World Championship was attended by President of the Federation of Azerbaijan Aishaarara Karate, honored physical education and sport figure, 5th dan belt master Maarif Bagirov, Vice President AZGERSU Vusal Mammadov and President of the International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Mirzayev.
Azerbaijani athletes have competed in the final rounds of various age groups at the world championship, where 300 athletes from different countries participated. Athletes Musa Musa, Huseynov Rauf earned gold medal, Valiyev Rufat, Rahimov Farman, Ahmadov Fayyaz, Shirinzade Bahadur, Gafarov Natiq gained silver medal, Verdiyev Umid won bronze medals. This is one of the next successes achieved by Azerbaijani athletes at the World Championships in Ashihara Karate
On the eve of the championship, the leadership of the Federation met with President of the World Ashihara Association Kanco Aisha and discussed the development of martial arts in Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that the Ashihara Karate was created by Hideyuki Aisha in 1972. He has laid the foundation for this sport after he has been engaged in both judo and karate. These professional sports moves are used not only in the competition but also in the martial combat. Note that, the Azerbaijan Ashihara Karate Federation was established in 1998. It operates in 20 cities and regions of Azerbaijan. The secret of this class of combat is widely used in the preparation of professional athletes for the country's state agencies.
