Fenerbahçe decided to hold an Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting to discuss the events that occurred in the Trabzonspor match played on Sunday, Ednews reports via BBC.
In the statement made by the club, it was stated that "At the meeting on April 2, the actions to be taken, including the withdrawal of our Football A Team from the Super Lig , will be evaluated."
Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç also evaluated the latest developments on FB TV.
Ali Koç said about what happened in the Trabzonspor match, "It is a shame for Turkish football. There have been those who have initiated these two clubs to fight each other and to sow the seeds of violence and hatred between the two clubs for the last 13-14 years. After the 1996 championship, tension actually increased, but never such a seed of hatred." "It was not planted," he said.
Coach said, "The torch is coming to the field. The referee sees the torch and continues the game... What would happen if we lost 3-2 or drew 2-2? Were you going to take another championship with bullying?" he said.
Koç announced that he resigned from his position as the President of the Clubs Union Foundation.
