On 25 November 2016, Eurasia Diary published article called “Gravestones of Armenian "heroes"” in Turkey.
After publishing this article Tunceli's Governor in Turkey announced that these gravestones will be dissipated. It was decided to demolish the monument which was built in Nazmiye district in Tunceli with inscription on the gravestone claiming that “We curse Armenian genocide. We do not forget Armenak Bakırcıyan and remember Hrant. In the 100th anniversary Armenian genocide is ongoing".
Our news regarding this issue also made a resonance in the Turkish media and they didn't become indifferent to this issue as well.
Moreover, on 26 November "Sözcü" newspaper gave a news about this issue and it had a great importance in maintaining this problem on Turkey’s agenda.
In addition, the monument was opened on 26 April 2015. Representatives of the Armenian Diasporas in Greece and France attended this opening ceremony. Note that along with the name of journalist killed in 2007 Hrant Dink, the names of ASALA and PKK terrorists Armenak Bakırcıyan, Manuel Demir, Nubar Yanikian, Kevork Chavush, Monte Melkonyan, Andranik Uzunyan are written on the gravestone.
