Denmark announced on Thursday that it will send 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine in collaboration with the Netherlands. Danish acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said the tanks should reach Ukraine at the start of 2024.
Ednews reports citing Interfax that Denmark also committed to sending up to 100 Leopard 1 tanks. At least 80 of them should be delivered to Ukraine by the end of 2023, Poulsen said. "It is the government's ambition that, in relation to our size, we should be one of the largest donors. This is because it is so important that our friends in Ukraine receive maximum support," he said, according to the Danish news agency Ritzau.
