Since October 7, 2023, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have destroyed 19 of the 24 battalions of the radical Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip along with the commanders, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during the weekly meeting of the Cabinet, Ednews informs.
"Today is six months since the start of the war. The achievements are great: we have eliminated 19 of the 24 Hamas battalions, including senior commanders. We have killed, wounded or captured a significant number of Hamas terrorists," he said. The prime minister's remarks were distributed by his office.
The head of the Cabinet also noted that Israel is determined to “complete the elimination of Hamas throughout the Gaza Strip,” including the city of Rafah in the south of the enclave.
