Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underlined on Thursday that he will continue in his post for as long as he can "help lead Israel to a future of security, enduring security and prosperity."
In an interview with TIME magazine, Netanyahu said that Israel is not only facing Hamas, but a "full-fledged Iranian axis, and we understand that we have to organize ourselves for broader defense." Talking about the growing negative sentiment surrounding the country's actions and how this might affect it in the future, Netanyahu shared that "being destroyed has bigger implications about Israel's security" and that he would rather have "bad press than a good obituary."
Mentioning humanitarian aid, Netanyahu insisted that Israel went out of its way to enable its flow through the Gaza Strip since the war first broke out on October 7, 2023.
