Azerbaijan cancelled fake and unfounded pension cases worth AZN 54.8 mln

As a result of control measures, fake and unfunded pension cases worth 54.8 million manats were canceled In the first half of 2020, said Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan during the discussion of the draft law on amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On the budget of the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive body implementing social security and protection in 2020" at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis, EDNews.net reports citing APA.

Minister also said that the list of major banks with which the fund cooperates was changed and the amount paid to them was reduced by 900,000 manats: "19 types of social security, about 30 types of scholarships have been transferred to electronic form, so far. Another 4 types of benefits are expected to be transferred to electronic form this year. Thanks to the reforms carried out, our country ranks first among the CIS countries in terms of the size of the minimum pension."
