Azerbaijan rejected loan offered by World Bank to fight coronavirus

The Azerbaijani side has also interested in the involvement of preferential loans within the framework of the Fast COVID-19 tool offered by the World Bank to all countries to fight against coronavirus, and relevant negotiations have started, the head of the press service of Ministry of Finance Mais Piriyev told, APA reports. 

“However, Azerbaijan dissatisfied with directions of allocation of loans, conditions and procedures, those negotiations have been suspended and the World Bank has been informed in this regard. Currently, taking loan from the Bank is not on the agenda,” M. Piriyev noted.
