Famed cartoonist Matt Groening and his team have done it again. The Simpsons creator and his genius staff have a knack for predicting the future -- they foretold US President Donald Trump's shock election in 2000, Disney's takeover of Fox in 1998, and in a 1997 episode they envisioned Germany would win the FIFA World Cup.

Now the brilliant minds on The Simpsons set have predicted yet another epic event, albeit on the small screen: the Game of Thrones plot twist delivered by Daenerys Targaryen.
Two years ago, the famous yellow family parodied GOT in an ep entitled 'The Serfsons'. At the end of the 2017 episode, Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa gather atop a castle to overlook the destruction a crazed dragon wrecked on their town of Springfield.
"Look, the dragon is burning our village," Bart yelled in the show.
The parallels between this episode and the latest GOT episode are hard to ignore. On Monday, viewers watched in shock as Daenerys, the mother of dragons, lost the plot and burned the capital of Westeros to the ground.
