Thousands of people took to the streets of Prague on Friday, to show their discontent after Czech government survived a vote of no-confidence over a fraud scandal involving Prime Minister Andrej Babis.
Only 92 opposition legislators backed the no-confidence, well short of 101 needed to force Babis from office. Protesters carried banners and flags demanding the prime minister's resignation.
One of Czech Republic's richest men, Babis is facing charges of misusing EU subsidies for a luxury resort and a farm, which he transferred to relatives, including his son.
The Czech leader has been under accused of kidnapping his own son in order to obstruct the investigation.
