Kommersant, one of the Russian media platforms has reported that the government of the Russian Federation might revise the decision regarding the ban of flights from Russia to Georgia and resume them, citing a source of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
“If Georgia manages to stabilize situation, stop ‘Russophobia’ and guarantee the safety of our citizens, we will be able to negotiate regarding the flights,” reads the article of Kommersant.
On June 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on suspending direct flights from Russia to Georgia. The document came into force on July 8.
