Unfounded allegations voiced by Aykut Erdogdu, a member of the Republican People's Party (CHP) of the Turkish Grand National Assembly about energy relations between the two countries, as well as about the heads of state, provoked strong protests from diaspora organizations in Turkey, APA reports,
The statement addressed to the public and signed by Adalat Turan, chairman of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Circles Federation, states that diaspora organizations strongly condemn MP Aykut Erdogan: These statements displeased members of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Circles Federation, which includes 22 groups operating in different regions of Turkey.
It was noted that while Diaspora organizations are trying to strengthen fraternal relations between the two countries, it is unacceptable to make such baseless, slanderous allegations that will make rejoice our enemies. Aykut Erdogan's claims are completely untrue, they are fabrications and slander. "
