On February 15, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has made a phone call to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Ednews reports citing APA.
During conversation, NATO Secretary-General has expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his visit to NATO and his speech at the NATO's highest body North Atlantic Council in December of last year.
The President expressed gratitude for the invitation and hospitality.
During the telephone conversation, they expressed satisfaction with the development of Azerbaijan-NATO relations, exchanged views on the post-conflict situation in the South Caucasus region, the ongoing processes around Ukraine, and the current situation in the world energy market.
The NATO Secretary-General thanked Azerbaijan for making Europe a reliable gas supplier and increasing gas exports.
President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan will continue to be a reliable partner as an important exporter of energy products.
