The International Eurasia Press Fund ISSUED A STATEMENT about the Armenian provocation

Politics 16:51 12.09.2023

As we reported, on September 11, illegal Armenian armed groups in the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, tried to commit a terrorist act against the servicemen of our Army on combat duty in the direction of the Khojavand region, using a dog as an assassin. Thus, the illegal Armenian armed groups attached a remote-controlled improvised explosive device to the dog and forced it to move in the direction of our positions.

Ednews reports that the International Eurasia Press Fund issued a statement on this.

The statement reads: " On the morning of September 11, 2023, illegal Armenian armed groups within the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, attempted to commit a terrorist act against the servicemen on combat duty in the Khojavend region of Azerbaijan, using a dog as an assassin. The separatist forces triggered a remote-controlled improvised explosive device, attempting to force it to move towards our positions. Fortunately, due to the vigilance of the Azerbaijani military personnel, the attempt by Armenian militants to escalate the terrorist act and cause more harm to our personnel was thwarted.

It is disheartening to observe that Armenia, which has occupied and devastated Azerbaijani lands for numerous years, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people from their homelands, persists in acts of terrorism and
occupation. Armenia continues to rekindle the historical Karabakh conflict by violating the ceasefire daily and launching attacks against Azerbaijani army positions. This recent provocation is not an isolated incident but rather a continuation of Armenia's cruel and unimaginable actions. The Armenian side had previously prepared such improvised explosive devices and mines, which they sent through the river to the Azerbaijani side, resulting in the deaths of innocent civilians, including babies. It is regrettable that, at a time when the region, its people, and its environment yearn for peace, Armenia resorts to using innocent animals for acts of terrorism.

The International Eurasia Press Fund deems this incident a terrorist attempt and condemns it vehemently.

As an international non-governmental organization, we call upon all humanitarian forces around the world to denounce Armenian terrorism and its policy of occupation. Today, Armenia disregards Azerbaijan's appeals for peace and humane behaviour while opposing its
territorial integrity. By disregarding historical UN resolutions, Armenia persists in its terrorist policies and attempts to deceive the global community through false propaganda. We consider Armenia to be a significant threat to peace in the South Caucasus.

In recent days, the issue of delivering humanitarian aid to the city of Khankendi in Azerbaijan has become a spectacle orchestrated by the governments of Armenia and France. Throughout these processes, false information has been disseminated to the international community, leading to misguided perceptions. Unfortunately, Armenia, despite its occupation of Azerbaijani lands for three decades, has not faced substantial sanctions from the international community. Such negligence by authoritative international institutions and relevant parties creates an environment conducive to the perpetuation of such acts by Armenia.

This recent terrorist incident serves as an alarming reminder, not only from a military and political stanpoind but also in terms of animal rights protection. The International Eurasia Press Fund firmly declares that attempting terrorism usuing innocent animals is deeply immoral. We, as an organization with a peace mission, demand that Armenia's illegalities, crimes, and the blow to peace in the South Caucasus should be protested, specific steps should be taken, and appropriate sanctions should be applied!
