Iran's energy sector receives a substantial boost as the discovery of new oil and gas fields is announced. According to a report by Ednews citing the "IRNA" agency, Mohsen Khojastemehr, the executive director of Iran's National Oil Company, revealed the magnitude of the discovery.
"Under the current administration, we have uncovered reserves totaling 2.5 billion barrels of crude oil equivalent," Khojastemehr stated. "These discoveries include approximately 8 oil and gas fields, with one particularly significant find recently made, to be officially disclosed by the oil minister."
This announcement comes amid ongoing efforts to bolster Iran's energy resources and economic prospects. Khojastemehr also highlighted the financial gains from oil exports, stating, "Last year, we earned $35 billion from oil exports."
