Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated on Thursday that his country and China must work together to prevent side interference in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Speaking to his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi during an ASEAN-sponsored gathering in Laos, Lavrov stressed the importance of preserving multilateralism. Furthermore, he hailed the strengthening of the relations between Moscow and Beijing, especially concerning strategic cooperation and economy, Ednews informs.
During his visit to Laos, which will last from July 25 to 27, Lavrov will attend the summit between Russia and ASEAN, the East Asia Summit (EAS), and the ASEAN Regional Security Forum (ARF).
