Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed that the Islamic Republic will prevail in its ongoing confrontation with Israel, declaring that Tehran remains resolute in the face of escalating tensions.
In a televised address to the nation, Khamenei stated that Iran’s recent retaliatory strike significantly weakened Israel’s strategic position and demonstrated the strength of Iran’s military capabilities. He further emphasized that Tehran is prepared for continued action, saying that a broader plan for retributive measures is already in place.
“Israel has made a grave mistake and will be punished for it,” Khamenei warned, describing recent Israeli actions as reckless and provocative. He portrayed Iran’s response as measured but firm, asserting that the country will defend its sovereignty and interests with full determination.
The Supreme Leader’s remarks come amid a period of heightened military activity and diplomatic tensions in the region. Following Israel’s targeted operation against Iranian nuclear infrastructure, Tehran responded with missile strikes, intensifying fears of a wider regional conflict.
Khamenei’s speech is seen as both a message of defiance to Israel and a rallying call to the Iranian public, framing the conflict as a just struggle in defense of national dignity and regional independence.
