Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino is looking to take several steps to bring back advertisers to the social media platform, the Financial Times reported, citing three unidentified sources with knowledge of the matter.
Under Yaccarino's plans, users will be presented with "full-screen, sound-on video ads" in a "new short-video feed" on Twitter, according to the insiders. The new CEO is also said to be planning to bring celebrities, politicians and other well-known figures in an attempt to boost ad sales.
In addition, Yaccarino and Alphabet Inc.'s Google LLC are negotiating a wide agreement that would cover "advertising and access to some of Twitter's data." According to the report, she is hoping to reach deals with Amazon.com Inc., Salesforce Inc. and International Business Machines Corporation (IBM).
