The Special Communication and Information Security State Service of Azerbaijan identified 504 cyberattacks (indicators of compromise -IOCs) against state bodies in the country in the first half of 2025, marking a 1.2% increase year-on-year, EDnews reports, citing the state service.
Some 198 cyber threats were identified and blocked based on internal investigation, and 306 based on investigation of incidents announced by government agencies.
In June alone, 51 cyberattacks were identified, which is 61% less compared to a year ago.
Over the course of six months, 262.92 million malicious links were blocked on the AzStateNet network, more than 12.366 million malicious electronic documents were blocked through the central antivirus system installed on end users, while 61,482 malicious electronic documents were blocked through the Sandbox protection system.
