The chairman of Press Council of Nepal Kishor Shrestha with his wife Saraswati Shrestha and board member Govinda Ghaulagain visited in Azerbaijan and met with the president of International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) Umud Mirzayev. The meeting had been held at the office of IEPF.
During the visit, they talked about the problems of international and local media. Umud Mirzayev condemned disinformation in world news media, Eurasia Diary reports.
The president of IEPF informed the guests about the territorial conflict of Azerbaijan with Armenia. He also stressed how civilians suffered from the war and life on the frontline. Umud Mirzayev explains humanitarian projects of IEPF for the families of IDPs and the people who live on the frontline.
The guests also were informed by stands prepared by IEPF on the walls of the office. The Nepali guests were impressed by what they have heard and have seen on the stands. Armenian vandalism on Azerbaijani land by the ruination of villages and cultural heritage widely presented on the stands.
The member of Press Council of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Gokhan Guler and the teacher of Trakya University (Turkey,Edirne) Ersan Sarikahya also joined the visit to Alley of Martyrs. The foreign guests got acquainted with what happened during the 20 January night. They were impressed with how Soviet troops brutally killed civilians and even teenager.
The foreign guests expressed their gratitude for IEPF for organizing such a beautiful and informative meeting.
