On September 5, the trainings organized by IEPF and "Al Jazeera" Media Network for Arabic-speaking journalists ended.

Ednews informs that the presentation ceremony of certificates of Arabic-speaking journalists was held at the International Eurasia Press Fund. President of the International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Mirzayev, leading journalist of Al-Jazeera Media Network, professional trainer Muhammad Goulam Bouba, representative of Media Development Agency Sabina Seyidova, Honored journalist Elchin Mirzabayli, director of "Sharq" newspaper Akif Ashirli and journalist, Karabakh veteran Rey Karimoglu participated in the event.

IEPF president Umud Mirzayev gave an opening speech. He said that the training organized in cooperation with Al Jazeera was very productive. Umud Mirzayev also emphasized that the training will make important contributions to the formation of Azerbaijani journalism based on international principles.

"We have been cooperating with Al Jazeera for almost 10 years. In March of this year, we had an official agreement and a memorandum was signed between our organization and "Al Jazeera". I woild like to note that our training does not end there. Further exercises are planned in the future. Together with Al Jazeera, we will take many more steps for peace. At the root of the relations between "Al Jazeera" and Azerbaijan is the objective delivery of information to the world. The principle of fairness is the main nuance that binds us to "Al Jazeera".

During the event, the journalist of "Al Jazeera" Media Network Mohammad Ghulam Bouba also shared his impressions about the training.

"First of all, we would like to thank Umud Mirzayev for such conditions that provided for us. To be honest, I was worried about how those attending the training would understand the teachings and instructions because there is a language barrier between us. However, as time passed, I saw that they mastered each piece of information at a high level. I am happy that they are the owners of this profession and I believe that the knowledge gained during the training will make important contributions to them in their future activities."

Mohammed Ghulam then expressed his gratitude to IEPF on behalf of "Al Jazeera" Media network and presented a gift to Umud Mirzayev.

Honored journalist Elchin Mirzabayli, who took part in the event, congratulated the organization on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of IEPF during his speech. He also emphasized that the Fund created by Umud Mirzayev had a significant impact on the formation of fertile consciousness in Azerbaijan.

Akif Ashirli, the founder of "Sharq" newspaper, also shared his views on the importance of training.

"Umud Mirzayev and I visited Karabakh together when the organization was first established. At that time, we were trying to convey the voice of truth to the world by preparing reports from the occupied territories. I should note that IEPF has signed multifaceted projects in Azerbaijan. IEPF also influenced the formation of Azerbaijani journalism based on international principles," he said.

Akif Ashirli also said that there is a greater need for the training of a huge media organization like "Al Jazeera".

Sabina Seyidova, a representative of the Media Development Agency, who participated in the event, emphasized the necessity of innovations brought by international cooperation to the Azerbaijani media.

At the end, the training participants also shared their opinions. Later, a presentation ceremony of certificates to participants was held.
