On May 30, the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Azerbaijan, Mrs. Bik Lum, with the financial allocation of the UNHCR, the support of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) and the International Eurasia Press Fund in 6 regions, "Fuzuli, Agjabadi, Beylagan, Aghdam, Tartar and Barda regions participated in the educational event held in Barda region within the project "Explosive Ordnance Risk Education in IDPs Communities".
Ednews informs that the president of IEPF, Umud Mirzayev, the head of the training group of the PSTM team, Ruslan Ibrahimbeyli, and other trainers took part in the event held at the resettlement school number 12 in Barda district. In the training, important information about mines, their types, safety rules related to explosive and unexploded ordnance, rules of conduct for people during the Great Return, what to do when they encounter mines and unexploded ordnance, and the questions of the participants were answered.
Noted that the main goal of the project is to educate and increase the knowledge of the population that will participate in the return process in war-affected regions and the danger of mines and explosives.
The employees of the UNHCR Representation in Azerbaijan continued their monitoring visit in Tartar region. As part of the visit,the Tarter Regional Vocational Training Center of IEPF was also visited.
The monitoring visit will continue until June 2. As part of the visit, it is planned to participate in the PSTM event held in Fuzuli district.
