In 2023, 58 people were victims of mine and ammunition explosions in Azerbaijan, said Kamran Aliyev, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan at the board meeting held at the Prosecutor General's Office, dedicated to discussing the state of work done by the prosecutor's office in 2023 in the field of combating crime, investigative work, prosecutorial control, and upcoming tasks, Ednews reports.
He said that 19 people died 15 of them being civilians, and 39 people, including 20 civilians, were injured: “Since November 2020 until the present time, 342 people were victims of victims of mine and ammunition explosions. 65 people were killed with 50 of them being civilians and 277 were injured, including 113 civilians.”
