Mr. Mirzayev referenced the decision of the UN General Assembly in 1993, which designated May 3rd as World Press Freedom Day. He highlighted the significance of this day as an opportunity for journalists worldwide to advocate for the unhindered dissemination of information and the joint effort against societal challenges.
IEPF has traditionally celebrated Press Freedom Day as a special occasion since its establishment, with Umud Mirzayev emphasizing the foundation's commitment to solidarity with colleagues in the field.
