Israel, Egypt and theUnited Arab Emirates have agreed on the establishment of the alliance on the basis of NATO standards to secure stability and peace in the Middle East.
Speaking to Eurasia Diary, Rachael Avraham, who is an editor of the Economic Peace Centre in Israel, noted that the Iranian threat obliges regional countries to come together under the umbrella.
“Israel agreed to create an alliance with these Arab states due to the threat of Islamic regime in Iran. Tehran always tries to cause dangerous and disastrous circumstances in the region of the Middle East. Israel, UAE and other countries resent the threats of political forces affiliated with Iran and Islamic regime. Moreover, the Biden administration tries to renew the nuclear deal with Tehran, as well they could lift some crippling sanctions on Iran”.
According to her, the main aim is to have a united stance against Iran and to coordinate in the struggle against Iranian hegemony.
“If Israel has an alliance against Iran and doesn't have to go it alone, it will be easier to confront Iranian aggression including their terror attacks, nuclear program”.
Israeli journalist believes that Israel cannot further rely on the United States.
“Unfortunately, the United States has demonstrated very weak response to the use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime and his brutalities against innocent people in Syria. Unlike the Trump administration, neither Obama, nor Biden administration have not carried out the strong and serious measures to respond to the radical Islam and the threats coming from Iran”.
