Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the delegation of the "Caspian Policy Center" operating in the United States.

At the meeting, the political, economic and security situation in the Caspian region, cooperation issues and perspectives in conducting research in these areas, including the current situation in the region were discussed. The minister spoke about the importance of conducting scientific and analytical research on the Caspian Sea region, of which our country is a part, and said that he attaches importance to issues of cooperation with think tanks of Azerbaijan.
Confidence was expressed that the establishment of close cooperation with think tanks operating in Azerbaijan and the development of relations will contribute to the activities of the Center. J. Bayramov informed the other party in detail about the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period, the large-scale restoration and construction works carried out by Azerbaijan in the territories freed from occupation, the steps taken towards the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the activities in the field of advancing the peace agenda, and the current challenges.
It was brought to attention that Armenia's refusal to fulfill its obligations towards the implementation of the reached agreements threatens the provision of sustainable peace and security in the region and the normalization of relations between the two countries. Information was provided on the nature of the decision on the border crossing point established on the Lachin-Khankendi road. Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
