Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Nikolai Korchunov revealed that Moscow is actively negotiating with BRICS and SCO nations regarding potential projects on the Arctic, EDnews reports.
"A number of bilateral projects are being worked out in such areas as scientific research, logistics, environmental protection, and maritime cooperation," Korchunov said in an interview with Tass News Agency.
The envoy also stated that discussions about potential energy projects with Eastern nations are presently ongoing, but added that the strain of sanctions on Russia prevents him from going into further detail about the plans.
